Carmel!

Dear friends:

I must tell you about Carmel, California. What a great trip we've been on -- starting with friends in San Francisco, then driving to Monterey, and then making our way to Carmel.

Carmel had an amazing beach. You started up on a hill -- here we are climbing a tree to catch the view:

Then you race down the hill to the surf! So much fun.

I had another "first" experience in Carmel: I got to try oysters! Kids, you have to try them, especially with lemon juice. They are a bit slimy, but yummy!

Next stop: back to San Francisco!
